I work with clients to solve tricky problems and am internationally proven in designing, leading and delivering world-class, profitable customer strategies. My commissions take me across customer disciplines from commercial strategy (P&L) to digital transformation and I’ve delivered billion-dollar revenue generation through innovative product and category management for many organisations, including The Co-operative, Universal Pictures, Audi and Orange.  I also work with significant success in Third Sector organisations through detailed understanding of not-for-profit dynamics. I thrive in challenging situations and am proven at operating successfully at Board level through influencing and negotiation skills.

Training

Training

I have written and delivered bespoke strategy training programmes for organisations such as Standard Life, RBS, LandSec and The Co-op. Understanding the particular dynamics of a situation is vital to ensuring content ‘lands’ and the training ‘sticks’. This is often supported with accompanying guidebooks, pre-course work and post-course check-in sessions. Training can be group focused or individually tailored.

I’ve been doing this stuff for a while now and am increasingly working with talented people to help them move on to the next stage in their career. I mentor a wide range of individuals from CEO’s of global organisations to new graduates just starting out. I also offer advice to those setting up on their own, a scary venture for many. My experience of working both client side and running my own successful business affords me a range of knowledge I enjoy sharing. Be prepared to work at it though :)

Being an effective Board takes commitment and effort. The often infrequent nature of meetings means team formation can sometimes take a little extra focus. I work with Boards to facilitate open discussions around strategic direction, in order to come to genuine agreement. This often involves individual feedback sessions and workshopping to surface differences of opinion and work through challenge in a constructive way. Tricky, but satisfying.
